Citizens of Japan can apply for a Visa On Arrival (VOA) in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata or Mumbai in India. The visa is issued for Business, Tourist, Medical and Conference purpose, with 30 days validity. Travelers can use the “VOA” facility not more than two times in one a year. Foreign citizens with eligibility for a VOA, can apply for an e-Visa, if they intend to visit India for a period more than 30 days, or if they intend to enter the country through an airport or seaport, then it is not covered under the VOA scheme.
