The Government of India has lifted off travel restrictions on many more countries. As per the recent updates, citizens of 165 countries can apply for an e-visa online. The e-visa services which had been available since 2014 got suspended for all countries during the COVID-19 Pandemic and then when the services got restored later only 156 countries were being considered eligible until now.
Update 16 March 2022: We have good news for all the travellers who want to come to India for a long time. Citizens of 156 countries can plan their travel as per the new visa guideline standards. Indian 1 years e-Tourist Visa and Indian 5 Years e-Tourist Visa have been Restored with Immediate effect by the Government of India.
Also, The Indian government has announced that the 30-day India tourist visa is now a "Double Entries" visa. This was a single entry during covid-19. Now the government has changed its Entries. The visa must also be used within 30 days or it will expire.
Old Update October 2021: Foreign nationals intending to visit India for Tourism are allowed to enter into India on e-Tourist Visa/ Tourist Visa through chartered flights (for group tourism) from October 15, 2021 and as individual tourists from November 15, 2021.
Under no circumstances will foreign nationals on e-tourist visa/tourist visa be allowed to enter India through land ICP/river routes.
Now they can apply for a new Single entry 30 days India tourist visa for use within 120 days of issuance of e-Tourist Visa/Tourist Visa. Existing e-tourist visa/tourist visa issued before October 06, 2021 will remain suspended.

A 30 days e-Tourist Visa ETA validity is 30 Days from the date of grant.
Once the applicant arrives in India, He/She can stay up to 30 days in India. Allow foreign tourists to double entries within these 30 days. These 30 days start from the date of the first arrival in India (When you come to India).
Example: If 30 days ETA granted on 15 November 2021, applicant can enter India before 14 December 2021 any date. If he/she will arrive in India at 25 November 2021, he/she can stay in India until 24 December 2021.
