Indian IT companies reduced US H-1B visa filing

The H1B visa is a non-immigrant visa which allows US companies to hire foreign workers for special occupation as per the job requirements such as theoretical or technical expertise ( in other words, It is a program which offers temporary US visas to the companies who need to hire highly skilled foreign professionals in the shortages of qualified American workers) But from last January onwards, the Trump administration has been hitting down this scheme.

From past few months, the Trump administration has taken dramatically scaled up scrutiny of the H-1B visa programme, to make it separate from being used by local Americans with foreign workers. According to Hindu American Foundation (HAF), the Trump administration dismiss the proposal of H-1B visas extensions to green card applicants and leaving them with no choice but to return to the country of origin.

  Out of top seven Indian Companies, 2 Countries show their interest in H-1B visa approvals in 2017, It clearly shows the deep interest in EB-5 visa program.

The number of issued EB-5 visas to Indians set a record of 174 between October 2016 and 2017, ( it goes up 149 in the corresponding year ). Under this programme of EB-5 visa, it gets dubbed to ‘cash for visa’, under this scheme, individuals can apply for lawful permanent residence in the United States (kindly note that, this is not a citizenship for applicants or their spouse and children under 21 years) in it, they create the necessary investments and make at least 10 permanent full-time jobs for US workers. The current threshold minimum investment limit is US$ 1 million in round figure its Rs 6.5 crore.
